| Motoeuro.co.uk
was set-up to catalogue our motorbike antics, European
travels and for a bit of fun. We're not professional
riders, nor can we afford new bikes each year, we have
blown our cash on travelling and a few beers. Enjoy
the main Motoeuro trips listed by year and if you have
any suggestions, you can get in touch with us by clicking
here. Ride safe. |
Ah,
bollox. And just what has happened to Motoeuro
?
Fear not, we're all still here but Motoeuro
hasn't exactly been a hive of riding activity
over the past couple of years.....
Usual
stuff, work, life, money, moving hoose, yadda,
yadda, has kept us in the garage. I find myself
at the very end of September 2011 with bugger
all miles done since 2009. A cloud of shame
hangs over the troops but Geordie and Sparko
have managed a few short rides, Stevie, of course,
holding the distance-record as he is still commuting,
but yours truly has managed a massive 100 yards.
Ah, dammit.
Although the sun is out and its a whopping 20+
degrees, the thought of getting my bike insured,
tax, tested etc, just ready for October isn't
really a big pull but I know I need to try harder.
See me after school.
So much has happened, well kind of, Steve has
a new bike and so has Sparko, we've seen a Harley
in the Motoeuro Garage, an RT and now a CBR600.
I'll up date this site properly over the winter
with a view to a fresh Motoeuro plan for 2012
:)
Ride safe everyone and if you need /
want to get in touch I've removed the contact
form as I'm getting shit-loads of spam, try

Come back soon, there's talk of the Nurburgring
in 2012 ! |

on to Motoeuro 2009 |
 |
This
is turning out to be a regular thing; we're
back from Motoeuro and then part, or most, of
our route appears in either Bike or RiDE magazine.
Pick up the latest RiDE mag (Jan 2010 - on sale
November 2009) and there you have it; the Pyrenees.
Personally, the Spanish side of our trip was
my favourite and as Simon Weir has just ridden
the N260 to Sort and on to Vielha, Motoeuro
are feeling pretty smug. Described as "nothing
like this" and "this
will give us memories to sustain the winter
months ahead", I've been back
to look at the pictures and re-read Motoeuro
2009, I'm getting all emotional.....
Don't put it off, call your mates tomorrow and
throw them the Pyrennes idea. Biking doesn't
get much better and when you're back home, at
work with the usual short-slighted idiots, you
can reflect on a trip that makes you smile (and
smug).
Motoeuro takes some beating. [DH] |
